Si hay alguna diferencia entre "Caja negra" y las novelas sobre escritores a las que estamos habituados -ya todo un tópico de la narrativa moderna- es la intención satírica del autor, que hace pasearse a todos los habitantes del circo literario frente a los espejos del callejón del Gato. La sutil ironía que Pablo Sánchez (1970, esta es su primera novela) dirige al mundillo editorial se ceba sobre todo en la figura del egocéntrico autor, pero alcanza todos los niveles del negocio libresco.
