Boris de Rachewiltz, arqueólogo y yerno del autor de The Cantos, recopiló estos poemas y los tradujo literalmente al italiano y, más tarde, el propio Ezra Pound y Noel Stock los vertieron literariamente al inglés. Es a partir de esa traslación que hemos acometido la nuestra. Los poemas exhalan el frescor del Nilo en la época de la cosecha, legado propio de estos artistas que, en materia de los bálsamos, como escribiera Klabund, no tienen rival todavía.
