Fanny era una mujer inconformista y aventurera que se había casado con un ingeniero francés, Adolfo Vignetti (1878-1944), y había viajado al lejano Oriente. También era una mujer políticamente comprometida con los valores de la libertad, la justicia y el feminismo, además de una excelente navegante y ganadora de numerosas regatas, nada de ello frecuente en aquella época. Este libro recoge fotografías de los numerosos viajes realizados por ella y su marido.
