Abstract: This study offers a diachronic and comparative analysis of the celebration of the Assumption within Western liturgical heritage, focusing on its Eastern roots and the progressive heortological configuration that tradition has consolidated over time. Using the historical method, the evolutionary iter of the feast is reconstructed, showing how ritual plurality, far from fragmenting the memory of the Marian mystery, offers a convergent vision of the glorification of the Mother of the Lord. Keywords: Assumption-Dormition, Gallican, heortology, Hispano-Mozarabic and Ambrosian, Roman rite.
