The analysis carried out from the field of political ecology is here complemented by other disciplines such as Geography, Economics, Political Science, Sociology and Anthropology. Through these, we can better comprehend the economic and socio-environmental issues surrounding water management. This involves a constantly changing scenario, which affects territories and their development, and it is conditioned by the privatization of natural resources derived from the currently ruling neo-liberal and capitalistic model.
