Investigaciones léxicas- which belongs to UJA university press catalogue. This volume gathers a collection of unpublished works on dialectology and, more specifically, Andalusian speeches. These works are the output of the research carried out during the preparation of the Tesoro léxico de las hablas andaluzas (2000). The present book, then, offers new insights into historical linguistics as well as into Andalusian speeches. Additionally, the author has included a biographical note about his father, Prof. Manuel Alvar, on account of his relevance in the field of Andalusian speech research.
