Frederic Clara la fundó y dio a conocer el gusto por la imaginación, la literatura fantástica, el hedonismo y el erotismo. Perucho se unió a ella más tarde y su personalidad se proyectó en la recuperación de los clásicos de la literatura fantástica, en la elección de los libros raros y curiosos, en la sensibilidad hacia el nuevo lenguaje del cómic y en la reivindicación de la cultura gastronómica.
