  • "Barcelona vista del Besòs" es el resultado de la inusual colaboración entre un fotógrafo y un geógrafo con el objetivo de trazar un singular «retrato urbano». Realizado entre Barcelona y París, este proyecto es un testimonio de la transformación del frente marítimo oriental a principios del siglo XXI, vista desde la periferia, desde el Besòs, hacia el centro. Las primeras fotografías son de 1999 y las más recientes, del 2007. Según Joan Roca, se trata de «construir una visión arraigada localmente, pero no “localista”, una forma de contribuir a una percepción nueva de lo que se considera “local” y de lo que se considera “global”».
