A antiga Casa de Feras de Madrid, no Parque do Retiro, conforma o decorado da obra onde hai, tamén, unha homenaxe aos animais que no seu día habitaron estas dependencias, como a protagonista, a elefanta Pizarro, que no século XIX, chegada dun circo, dominou coa súa presenza este lugar.
