  • Adam Mickiewicz (Zaosie, 1798-Costantinopla, 1855) es el gran romántico polaco que supo devolver a su lengua el brillo y la melancolía del poema del exilio que siguió siempre a su tierra. Los Sonetos de Crimea, siendo espléndidos poemas orientalistas, son también unos grabados profundos de la épica y la elegía románticas. Estos paisajes orientales dejan en meras tentativas los de Rückert, los de Platen, los de Byron, los de su querido Puchkin. Vicente Tortajada (Sevilla, 1952) es autor de los libros de poemas Pabellones y Esplendor, entre otros. Asismismo, publicó en el pasado 1999 su novela Flor de cananas. Ésta es la única versión castellana de los famosos Sonetos de Crimea.
