  • Antífona del otoño en el Valle del Bierzo (Premio Adonáis, 1985) nos conduce a un melancólico viaje al origen, un emocionado recorrido por los signos del paisaje y la memoria. Dieciocho años después se reedita esta Antífona acompañada de un cd en el que un grupo de músicos celebra el encuentro con la voz poética de Juan Carlos Mestre. Juan Carlos Mestre nació en Villafranca del Bierzo, León, en 1957. En 1982 publicó Siete poemas escritos junto a la lluvia, al que siguieron, entre otros, La visita de Safo (1983), Antífona del otoño en el Valle del Bierzo (1985), Las páginas del fuego (Chile, 1987), La poesía ha caído en desgracia (Premio Jaime Gil de Biedma 1992, Visor, Madrid), y La tumba de Keats (Premio Jaén de Poesía, Hiperión, Madrid) escrito durante su estancia en Italia. Música original compuesta e interpretada por Amancio Prada, Luis Delgado, Pedro Sarmiento, Cuco Pérez y Rafael Domínguez, sobre poemas de Antífona del otoño en el Valle del Bierzo, recitados por Juan Carlos Mestre.
