En este sentido, Gominolas y azúcar es una indagación estética en busca de metáforas visuales que pongan de manifiesto el estado del individuo ante un consumismo que los autores califican de «pleonástico». El resultado es un universo artístico de alegorías marcadas por la crítica y el sentido humor que franquean el paso a un recorrido onírico por la mente humana.
