  • El Real Monasterio de Santa María de Pedralbes es uno de los mejores ejemplos del gótico catalán. Fue fundado en 1327 por una reina, Elisenda de Montcada, la última mujer de Jaime II el Justo, para una comunidad de monjas que seguían la Regla de las clarisas, hermanas espirituales de los franciscanos. Desde su fundación hasta el día de hoy, el monasterio se ha mantenido prácticamente sin alteraciones, tanto en su configuración arquitectónica como en los bienes muebles que la comunidad ha ido atesorando a lo largo de los siglos.
