  • En 1909 se celebró en la sede de la Hispanic Society de Nueva York una exposición de Joaquín Sorolla que atrajo a 170.000 visitantes, vendió 150 obras y 20.000 catálogos de la muestra. Con este motivo se publicaron dos tomos con ensayos de algunas de las más reputadas firmas de la época y todo el material gráfico y hemerográfico relacionado con la muestra. En 2009, con motivo del centenario de la efeméride se reedita en facsímil los "Eigth Essays on Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida", una joya fundamental en la bibliografía sorollesca hace tiempo descatalogada.
