Guillermo Saavedra(Buenos Aires, 1960) es poeta, editor y crítico de reconocida trayectoria en su país.;Publicó los libros de poesía Caracol (Último Reino, 1989), Alrededor de una jaula (La Marca, 1995), El velador (Bajo la luna, 1998) y La voz inútil (Bajo la luna, 2003), y los libros de poemas para niños: Pancitas argentinas (Alfaguara, 2000) y Cenicienta no escarmienta (Alfaguara, 2003).;Recibió, entre otras distinciones, una beca de la John Guggenheim Memorial Foundation para la creación de un libro de poesía aún inédito: Desocupado. Su poesía fue incluida en antologías y publicaciones locales y extranjeras y traducida al inglés, alemán, italiano y portugués.;Es director de Publicaciones del Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires y de la revista cultural Las ranas.
