  • Soma Morgenstern (Budzanów, Galitzia oriental, 1890-Nueva York, 1976) fue novelista, crítico y dramaturgo;autor, entre otras, de las obras Alban Berg y sus ídolos y Huida en Francia. Un relato novelado, ambas publicadas en esta misma editorial. Amigo íntimo de Joseph Roth y de Alban Berg, en la Viena de entreguerras tuvo relación de amistad con Stefan Zweig, Robert Musil, Otto Klemperer y Anton Webern, y también frecuentó el círculo de intelectuales que se reunían en el taller de Anna Mahler, entre los que figuraban Hermann Broch, Ernst Bloch y Elias Canetti. Huida y fin de Joseph Roth, primera obra suya traducida al español, mucho más que el testimonio de una amistad o el retrato de un gran escritor, es la evocación, en un contexto histórico e intelectual que le da perspectivas de interés único, de todo un mundo desaparecido.
