  • Carmen Conde (Cartagena, 1907-Majadahonda, 1996) alcanzó algunos de los hitos de nuestra historia que hasta entonces habían estados vetados a las mujeres en España: fue la primera en obtener el Premio Nacional de Literatura en 1967 y en ser elegida académica de número de la Real Academia Española en 1978. Su obra aborda prácticamente todos los géneros: poesía, novela, relato, teatro, artículo periodístico, guion de radio y televisión, etc. En 1963, invitados por el Gobierno de Nicaragua, Carmen Conde y Antonio Oliver emprendieron un extenso viaje por Centroamérica. Fruto de esta experiencia y de la honda impresión que causó en la poeta el paisaje y el sufrimiento de sus gentes, nació ‘Jaguar puro inmarchito’, que ahora regresa bajo la edición de Fran Garcerá e incluye un nuevo poema de este ciclo que permaneció inédito hasta 2021.
