Su "fin del mundo" fue un pueblecito de la sierra cordobesa, Hornachuelos, donde ejerció durante ocho años de maestra. Su profesión era una profunda vocación arraigada en Jesucristo y basada en la idea de Pedro Poveda y la Institución Teresiana. En 1936, cuando estalló la violencia en España, Victoria tuvo la ocasión de escapar, pero quiso permanecer en "su" pueblo, con su "gente". El 12 de agosto moría violentamente, sellando así una corta vida, treinta y dos años, de amor a Dios y entrega a los hombres a través de la enseñanza.
