El propòsit d’aquesta obra no se centra en el coneixement (estil, iconografia, atribucions….) de les peces que formaven part de la seva col·lecció, sinó principalment en les vicissituds i circumstàncies biogràfiques de Pablo Bosch, en la seva metodologia com a col·leccionista, les prioritats electives i el comerç de l’art.
