  • El caligrama es un tipo de composición poética concebida para que se mire y se contemple, además de ser leída. Se caracteriza por la creativa disposición tipográfica de las palabras que se colocan de tal manera que crean dibujos o figuras extrañas. Generalmente en los caligramas el poeta dibuja con las palabras un objeto relacionado con el tema principal del poema. Por ejemplo, si en la poesía se habla de una flor, las letras del texto se escriben y se colocan en los pétalos para crear la imagen de una flor. Sin embargo, otras veces el dibujo que procede del texto no tiene ninguna relación directa, sino simplemente una correlación evocadora o semántica.
