  • Durante la primavera de 1972, el subinspector de Policía Gorgonio Llaneza se incorpora a su primer destino, la Brigada de Investigación Criminal de Castellón de la Plana, dominada por los agentes de la temida Brigada Político-Social. Su primer caso es certificar el fallecimiento de un ingeniero chileno en un accidente de tráfico ocurrido en Sueca, a treinta kilómetros de Valencia. Pero cuando Gorgonio llega al lugar del siniestro todo se complica: la víctima posee una doble identidad. Es también Amado Granell, natural de la localidad castellonense de Burriana y héroe de Francia, que le nombró oficial de la Legión de Honor por haber liberado París de la ocupación nazi. A partir de ese momento la investigación contra una oscura red de intereses que pretende encubrir un asesinato.
