  • La muixeranga valenciana és l’origen dels castells al Principat. Aquest llibre segueix els homes valencians que entre els segles XVII i XIX van exportar-la a diferents territoris. A Catalunya, els receptors d’aquella manifestació patrimonial la revolucionaren tècnicament a finals del segle xviii i assoliren primer el castell de sis pisos i després construccions de fins a nou. La muixeranga mantingué la seva tècnica primitiva en algunes localitats del País Valencià. Des de 2010, els castells, ja amb deu pisos, són Patrimoni Immaterial de la Humanitat per la UNESCO, i des de 2011 ho és la muixeranga a Algemesí.
