  • Carles Fages de Perramon (Figueres 1843-1932) va formar part d’una de les nissagues empordaneses més reconegudes. Com a jurista fou degà del Col·legi d’Advocats de Figueres i va tenir també una important presència en la vida cultural i associativa de l’Empordà promovent diverses obres socials i benèfiques com ara la Caja de Ahorros y Monte de Piedad del Ampurdán o l’Asil Vilallonga. També va fundar i dirigir el diari El Ampurdán, de tendència conservadora i catòlica. El llegat de Carles Fages de Perramon va tenir un impacte ben significatiu en la societat figuerenca i empordanesa que, sens dubte, perviu en l’actualitat.
