  • En 1903, el astrónomo Camille Flammarion afirmó que el cerebro femenino era 200 gramos más ligero que el masculino, reflejando una tradición misógina presente también en las enciclopedias del siglo XX, creadas por hombres y para hombres. Astrid Jahnsen ha investigado la escasa y borrosa representación de mujeres en estos volúmenes y, con su cámara, las ha rescatado del olvido, devolviéndoles presencia e interrogando sus historias silenciadas. El proyecto nació cuando heredó una enciclopedia de su abuela y notó que aparecían muchas mujeres anónimas en imágenes urbanas: figuras no posadas, inadvertidas, fortuitas.
